Only Gainax would do this. Only they would make it awesome.

So, because of the intro sequence you think it's a cute kids' show and then the opening minutes are the hamster reading a dirty romance novel to two people screwing, which only results in it getting punched out and bleeding profusely on the carpet. Then there's more screwing and cigarette smoking and more hamster punching and fighting and make up sex and smoking!
This was apparently animated because the voice actress for Misato on Evangelion loved reading it in between takes.
